This is a presentation of Raf Somers, Chief Technical Advisor of the Vietnam Belgium Dairy Project, which was presented in the 5th African Dairy Conference and Exhibition 5 - 7 August 2009, Boksburg, South Africa.

The presentation was supported by Mr Hoang Kim Giao, director of Department of Livestock Production and Mr Do Kim Tuyen, Head of Ruminant Division.

The presentation shows an experience of the project on how to run dairy farming efficiently in Vietnam, a tropical country. It is convinced that by applying suitable technology for small scale dairy farm, farmer can really make profit out of his cows in terms of high milk yield and low production cost.
