The Vietnam Belgium Dairy Project with overall objective "The income of the rural population is increased by sustainable growth of domestic milk production" covers 05 provinces: Hanoi, Ha Tay, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc and Bac Ninh. The Project which runs from 2005 to 2009, is implemented by The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural
Development (MARD) with technical support from Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC). Training farmers in dairy farming is among the Project’s main activities. The approach of Training of Trainers (TOT) is applied to train farmers to perform as local trainers who in their turn will train dairy farmer groups in the project communes. “Reproductive Management in Dairy Farming” is a manual that provides dairy farmers with basic information on reproduction and artificial insemination. With all content attached to Good Dairy Farming Practice, the manual is a company of trainers in their training courses.
